“Wedding Anniversary”

What a lovely experience for the one night we spent at The Lynch for our Wedding Anniversary. Set in beautiful grounds with Black Swans waddling about just outside the breakfast room which overlooked the grounds. The breakfast was quite wonderful. All the produce was sourced from local provision fresh strawberries, blueberries and orange and grapefruit segments freshly sliced from actual fruit. The breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious.

I agree that the 5 stars awarded to The Lynch is representative of this wonderful accommodation. We will return

“Lovely place to stay”

We only stayed one night, I wish it could have been longer, The Lynch House is lovely.

We stayed in a room in the coach house, not the main house but it was just as comfortable and well appointed. The bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was superb, The owner and the manager were very friendly and welcoming. Somerton itself is a nice little town with several pubs and restaurants to choose from.

If we go back to this area we will definitely use the Lynch Country House again.

“Lovely country house stay”

We chose the Lynch Country House hotel after reading the trip advisor reviews and also as it offered a level access room for my parents. The house is beautiful, we stayed in the Eddington room which is a large room on the first floor with plenty of space for an extra bed for my son. As noted by other reviewers, the room in the main house was much 'grander' than the one my parents stayed in (the Winchester) in the Coach House, but we all enjoyed our stay and breakfast the next day.

“Love this place”

Only stayed for one night, unfortunately, on our way from Essex to Cornwall. We stayed in The Coach House which has four recently refurbished en-suite rooms and they are all lovely. The house and gardens are stunning and the breakfast, in the words of the late Michael Winner, renowned food critic, was ‘historic’. We look forward to staying there again, especially for the breakfast

“Wow”

Stayed in the Lynch for a long weekend and had a lovely stay. The house itself is a beautiful old building, with lovely grounds that include it's own lake with black swans. We had the large family room on the top floor which was very spacious for the 3 of us. Had no problem with the large bathroom being across the landing. The breakfast was amazing - lots of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals & a lovely cooked breakfast. The house is within walking distance from the town. Would we stay here again - definitely YES.

"A warm welcome, good advice about local eating places, comfortable clean room , and the best english breakfast in years - fresh juice, local bread and baconwith homemade jams - for £90 - outstanding!"

"A haven of calm. Our room in the Coach House could be described as 'compact' - this is reflected in a competitive room rate. The interior is traditional country-house style, in keeping with the genteel surroundings, but the excellent bed, flat-screen TV and free WiFi access have the benefits of a modern hotel. The shower was excellent. Breakfast was superb. The gardens are lovely, calming. Somerton has plenty of dining options within easy walking distance. Mike and Chris were welcoming without being intrusive."

"The welcome, the room and the general environment were all of a high order. We had the impression we were in a country house as it was meant to be. The breakfast room was spotless as were the cutlery and crockery. The breakfast too, was excellent."

"We booked the whole hotel for a family wedding in Somerton. Mike and the team were very helpful and made our stay a pleasure. The rooms and breakfast are all superb. We will stay there again when we visit family in the area. We recommend it heartily."

"A lovely Grade II listed Georgian House. Our bedroom was extremely comfortable and well appointed with views over the lawn and surrounding countryside. One of the best hotels and B&B's we have ever stayed in. Breakfast was excellent. Thoroughly recommended."

"Excellent B&B, beautiful location, beautiful house, very friendly staff. More like a luxury boutique hotel than a B&B. Warm and comfortable room, fine fixtures and fittings, luxurious white towels and bath robes, free wifi. Fantastic freshly cooked breakfast to order and served in the elegant orangery so that one can watch the black swans and ducks whilst tucking in."

"We had a wonderful stay at The Lynch Country House. Impressive Georgian house, set in picturesque grounds. Warm, friendly hosts, superb rooms, luxurious comfortable four poster bed, topped off with a beautiful, quality breakfast. Would recommend in a heartbeat."

"My family and I stayed in excellent accommodation in the coaching house. The breakfast was specially made for us (two vegetarians and one meat-eater) and was very good indeed. The extensive gardens were peaceful and we were made to feel welcome right from the start. A great place to bear in mind. The little town of Somerton is very pleasant."

"A gem in the small, pretty town of Somerton. Really friendly welcome from Mike the manager and from owner Roy Copeland. The rooms are extremely comfortable and decorated and fitted to a very high standard, everything oozes quality, the beds are absolutely huge and extremely comfortable. Highlight for me was the breakfast - magnificent grub, huge choice, again all very high quality, in a lovely bright room with superb views of the grounds. My stay was driven by needing to deal with a family matter and somewhat stressful, but going back to the Lynch at the end of the day really helped me wind down. I'm already looking at dates for a relaxing break in the autumn!"

"Greeted by Chris on arrival, we also had the pleasure of meeting proprietor Roy Copeland before being shown to our room where Mike was adding the finishing touch - a bottle of champagne on ice, requested by email just a few hours earlier, to surprise my husband on his birthday. On Chris's recommendation, we enjoyed a delicious supper at the Market Bar & Bistro in the town square, just minutes away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lynch Country House and recommend it wholeheartedly."

“An absolute treat!”

We had a fantastic stay at Lynch House. The whole experience was a real treat with beautiful grounds, lovely beds and breakfast :) A fantastic base for a West Country visit and well worth the little bit extra you would pay at other B&B's.

“Wedding Reception”

We recently had our wedding reception at the Lynch Country House Hotel and we had the most amazing day, The Manager Mike was so relaxed and nothing was too much leading up to the big day. The menu was incredible and all our guests commented on the high standard of the service, the rooms and without a doubt, the wedding lunch. The menu surpassed our expectations. This hotel is a little gem but with an excellent local reputation and we could not recommend it enough.

“Georgian Gem”

We found this B&B via an internet search and what a find! It is a Grade II listed Georgian house that has been sympathetically restored. Our bedroom was on the first floor of the main house with views over the lawn and surrounding countryside. It was very well furnished and had a four poster bed that although was a bit on the high side was extremely comfortable - we both slept like logs. The en-suite bathroom was large (also with a view over the lawn and countryside!) and had plenty of soft towels and bath robes provided. Breakfast was first class. Thoroughly recommended.

“100% England”

What a wonderful place!!! It made my business trip much more pleasant. The staff is extremely friendly and the rooms are nicely decorated and absolutely clean. The breakfast was delicious - I just loved it. As it is close to the centre of the little town a walk is advisable as also the town itself is an excellent English heritage place.

“Perfection”

Having booked in for New Years Eve in one of the rooms in the Coach House, we can't recommend this fabulous B&B highly enough. Everything was prefect; our reception, the room, location, breakfast, service and the ambience. We will definitely be returning.

"A cut above the average."

The B&B in particular left us with an imposing number of "Brownie Points" that the couple organising next years trip are going to find difficult to match!

"Very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere and a fab breakfast to set you up for the day"

The breakfast was first class, a very good selection of top quality food. The owners were thoughtful and helpful but not overly so and we have no hesitation in recommending this B&B.

"Extremely pleasant stay in beautiful surroundings"

The hotel provided a beautiful haven of calm, breakfast was superb - a good selection of cereals & seasonal fresh fruit, juices etc. plus very good cooked breakfast choices based around traditional 'English' breakfast model. The Full English (scoffed on final morning) had both black and white pudding - classy. We would have no hesitation in returning or recommending a stay at the hotel.

Found the hotel was the perfect country retreat. Peaceful gardens with a lake, a very large luxurious, comfortable room, and a delicious breakfast complete with strawberries. Thank you and we will happily recommend The Lynch to friends.
